"Annette is a Bimbo!"
Nancy Parker and her friends are all experiencing a bit of a crisis. Whether it be crushes, or not fitting in, or worries about the future, they are all desperately trying to find themselves and, in their opinion, failing miserably at it.

On the night of Nancy’s 16th birthday, she receives an (unbeknownst to her) magical record, and accidentally summons Annette, a magical drag queen. Annette has made it her job to help teens in distress, and she can’t leave until she has put all their troubles right. Throughout the night, Annette and her friends learn to push back against the patriarchy and break free from the labels and expectations that society has placed upon them!

Part pyjama party, part drag show, and part record hop, “Annette is a Bimbo!” is a campy musical guide to Queer youth and romance for everyone who got picked up early, who lied about their crush, or who never got invited. Welcome to the best slumber party ever!

Regina Word Up Pride Stage + Just Write featuring Cat Abenstein
Our annual Regina Word Up Pride Stage is an opportunity to share your work with an appreciative crowd. For this event, we prioritize and centre queer expression on our Pride Stage: we encourage sharing queer content or any content for folks who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+.
This year we'll kick off the night with our “Just Write” segment which provides writing prompts and time to scrawl out new words that can be shared. Then we welcome open mic performers onto our pressure-free stage to share in 5-minute spots. We will wrap up the evening with a feature performance by Cat Abenstein, a bisexual, neurodivergent spoken word artist and arts administrator from Regina.
Everyone is welcome in the audience! We encourage audience members to engage during the performances – snap, make cheesecake noises (mm’s and yes’), laugh, stomp, or otherwise make your appreciation known!
Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm. Sign up to perform at the door.

Two-Spirit Beading & Storytelling
Our two spirit beading event is a beautiful and significant gathering that celebrates the rich cultural heritage and artistic expression of Indigenous communities. The event brings together people who identify as two spirit, a term that has been used by many Indigenous cultures to describe individuals who embody both masculine, feminine, or multiple energies or qualities.

During the event, participants engage in the traditional art of beading, which involves creating intricate patterns/designs using beads of various colours and sizes. This art form has been passed down through generations and is a powerful way for Indigenous peoples to connect with their ancestors and preserve their cultural traditions.
Overall, the two spirit beading event is a powerful and beautiful expression of Indigenous culture, tradition, and identity that deserves respect and appreciation.

Join members of the 2Spirit community and connect to storytelling and tradition together as Treaty Peoples. By learning to bead, we can come together to learn more about our selves, the land, and our community.

Workshop:An investigation into my sexual scripts, and why they aren’t wrong.
We a culturally unique group that requires unique sexual strategies. As unique individuals, we are bombarded daily with covert and overt heteronormative sexual scripts and expectations that continually pathologize our sexual identities. These ill-based pathologies have filtered into the human uniqueness and has created incongruencies within our personalities. These incongruencies have created internalized shame and confusion to “who I am”.

This workshop will seek to bring awareness to these heteronormative expectations and scripts, provide insight of why “my” sexual identity is an important aspect of the identity of “pride” and self-acceptance, and empower “us” to write our own sexual scripts in erasable pencil (no pens allowed!).
